Special issue proposal The Journal will
publish special issues that focus on research topics of common interest
from time to time. We invite qualified scientists to submit a proposal for organizing or co-organizing special
issues in their expertise areas.
Guidelines
for proposal, submission, and review of special issue papers: - The
main organizer of the special issue becomes the guest editor of the special issue.
The main organizer can also invite up to 3 guest editors to co-edit the special
issue. Background information of the organizers and guest editors should be supplied.
- Proposals
should include a working title and an overview of the topic, aims and scope, importance
of the special issue, tentative time frame, and if available, potential authors
and titles of manuscripts.
- Depending on the quality, a
special issue may consist of 6-12 papers. If there are more than 12 qualified
papers, it is possible to split the special issue into two (part 1 and part 2).
Papers in the special issue may be invited or openly submitted by a call for papers.
A special issue may also be based on the extended or full versions of papers that
were presented in a conference, symposium or workshop.
- The
guest editors are responsible for organizing review of the special issue papers,
and supply final versions to the editorial office for publication.
